Kalakshetra is group originated by Mr. Upamanyu Naskar also known as Roy and Geet Atwal the backbone of the group. This group works without any proper production house or place to practice, the rehearsal arena changes from day to day as per the convenience and temperature of surroundings. Being passionate about film making, Upamanyu has always tried to go beyond the limits and wants to believe in BIG. This is the reason he chose to devote his time in making feature film rather than shooting short movies or documentaries, as he says a documentary film benefits only the director where as the characters in the film would be just a Usage of their expectations.

Kalakshetra has already made a 1hr. 40 min. feature film with a cyber shot camera having a capability of shooting only 3 min shot. Every time after shooting for total of 3 mins, the shots used to be transfer on laptop. The movie costed a whole of a budget Rs.57,000 and post production reaching more than Rs30,000. The whole cost is beared by the duos Geet Atwal and S.K. Naskar who believes in promoting talents and have already stated working on their second venture where the team has again reunited to spill the magic again and let the people think about it for at least a day after watching the movie.

Upamanyu and Geet keeps on stressing on the term that we want to make movies which should not be like Bollywood latka-jhatkas, where as their icons are Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aparna Sen. Now some words from Mr. Upamanyu Sushma Naskar:
